My baby girl Lara had a heart surgery in Bristol when she was 4 months old this past January in 2014. My partner and I spent there about 3 weeks in Bristol and those were the most difficult and testing times for us… We were also away from our lovely 5 years old boy, who was missed by us very much. We had free accommodation in Ronald McDonald’s house, another great charity that helps parents in need like us. But we had to support ourselves in Bristol, paying for food, petrol (when travelling between our place in Cardiff to Bristol and back) and other bare neccessities. When we came back home in Cardiff after the surgery and Lara was improving and recovering slowly, our social worker mentioned that there is a charity for parents like us provided by The Leon Heart Fund established by Mrs Julie Cridland. We wrote a letter to the fund telling our story and they have kindly covered our expenses in Bristol, which helped us a lot. Thank you so much, Mrs Julie Cridland, for helping us with our hospital expenses in Bristol!
Please, accept our grattitude for your kind help! Below is a recent picture of our baby girl Lara at her first birthday who is a healthy and happy little gilr now!
Many thanks again from Lara, mama, daddy and her big borther George xxxx
